Early on a Saturday morning in the Bronx, a man was shot during what police suspect was an attempted carjacking. The incident occurred around 6:20 a.m. near Tiffany Street and Randall Avenue in Hunts Point, according to law enforcement sources.
The victim, a 42-year-old man, was found by officers from the 41st Precinct with two gunshot wounds to his stomach. He was quickly taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
