Police in the Upper East Side are currently on the lookout for a teenage suspect who allegedly attacked a 67-year-old man in a recent incident. The assault took place on September 30, 2024, at the intersection of East 65th Street and York Avenue.

The victim was confronted by a group of teenagers who were loitering and smoking in the area. When the man asked them to leave, a verbal argument ensued, escalating into a physical altercation when one of the teens punched and kicked the victim. The suspect, described as a male wearing a black mask and hoodie, quickly fled the scene before the authorities arrived.

Despite the attack, the victim only suffered minor injuries and was promptly taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center for treatment. Fortunately, he was not robbed during the incident.

Surveillance photos of the suspect have been released by the police, indicating that he is between 15 to 17 years old, with a medium complexion, standing at around 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with specific red and white logos, black pants, black and white sneakers, and a black mask, carrying a backpack.

The investigation into the case is still ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
