Elizabeth Schneps Aloni, SVP Events at Schneps Media, highlighted the importance of bringing together a diverse group of powerful women with inspiring stories. The event marked the 30th anniversary of celebrating powerful women across the five boroughs by commemorating previously recognized Power Women as ICONS.
Franchesca Diaz, Director of Regional and Community Affairs for the Bronx at Con Edison, was honored for her work in keeping the borough connected during a period of economic expansion. She emphasized the collective impact of all the women being honored and their role as change-makers in the Bronx.
The evening kicked off with a VIP reception where the Power Women mingled and celebrated their achievements. A silent auction and raffle raised money for Not On My Watch Inc., a nonprofit empowering young women and combating human trafficking and domestic violence. Pamela Damon, CEO of Not On My Watch Inc., expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be celebrated for the important work they do.
The awards ceremony featured women like Ischia Bravo, the Honorable County Clerk/Commissioner of Jurors of Bronx County, who emphasized the importance of women supporting each other and paving the way for future leaders. Tish Gathers, President and CEO of the Carmelite System, shared the legacy of faith-based service for seniors carried out by the congregation of sisters founded in the Bronx in 1929.
The Mistress of Ceremonies, Noëlle Lilley, welcomed each honoree to receive their Power Women of the Bronx award – an impressive gold trophy symbolizing their hard work and dedication. Women like Jaqueline Santos, Vice President & Information Technology Systems Officer of Ponce Bank, and Dr. Diane Recinos, President of Berkeley College, were recognized for their leadership and dedication.

Yesenia Quinones, Community Manager at Chase, highlighted the importance of financial empowerment in the community.
