Alright, so get this – apparently, David Hyde Pierce, the dude from “Frasier,” was not too thrilled with his “Wet Hot American Summer” co-stars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler back in 2001. According to Poehler on her “Good Hang” podcast, Pierce came out of his room and asked them to keep the noise down before his first day of filming. Talk about a buzzkill, right?

Rudd and Poehler reminisced about their time filming the movie, admitting that they were not exactly in their prime partying years. They recalled nights of hanging out together, blasting music, and chugging beers until the early hours of the morning. However, they did acknowledge that they were not exactly kids anymore, with Poehler pointing out that they were all in their 30s at the time.

Pierce, on the other hand, was scheduled to work later in the day and was probably not too thrilled about the rowdy behavior happening the night before. When he finally emerged from his room, the cast fell silent, with Ken Marino jokingly calling him “Frasier.” Pierce, however, took it all in stride and was actually pretty cool about the whole situation.

Poehler, who was also making her debut on “Saturday Night Live” that year, admitted that the cast did not do much work on the film. Despite this, the movie went on to inspire a prequel and a sequel on Netflix, in which Pierce, Poehler, and Rudd all participated.

So yeah, it seems like Pierce was a bit of a party pooper on the set of “Wet Hot American Summer,” but hey, can you blame the guy for wanting some peace and quiet before a big day of filming? It’s all part of the Hollywood magic, I guess.
