Powersoft, a leading company in the cinema market, has announced the release of the latest version of its ArmoníaPlus software, which now includes support for Dolby Atmos Connect AES67 patching. This new feature aims to simplify the process of connecting Powersoft amplifiers to Dolby’s cinema hardware, providing a more immersive audio experience for moviegoers.
Francesco Cionini, global key account manager for Powersoft, emphasized the importance of being compliant with Dolby Atmos in the cinema market. By integrating Powersoft amplifiers with Dolby Atmos cinema processors, the new functionality in ArmoníaPlus 2.7.1 enables a quicker, easier, and more reliable way to configure a Dolby Atmos system in cinema environments.
Some highlights of the v2.7.1 update include seamless network integration, which allows the system to automatically manage all AES67 audio streams and channels after inputting the network information of a Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor. Additionally, the support for Dolby Atmos Connect AES67 eliminates the need for external devices or software, making the entire process more streamlined. Powersoft amplifiers can now be directly patched to the Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor, ensuring efficient and hassle-free integration.
In a recent collaboration between Powersoft and Dolby, a Dolby Atmos installation was successfully completed at Cineplexx Westfield SCS in Vienna. Powersoft Quattrocanali amplifiers were integrated with Dolby’s CP950A processor via AES67 to drive Dolby System 133 loudspeakers, showcasing the seamless connectivity and advanced technology offered by the new ArmoníaPlus software.
