Ojas founder Devon Turnbull and Klipsch, a heritage audio brand, recently announced a special collaboration featuring a limited edition speaker. Klipsch approached Turnbull to work on this unique project, and after being impressed with the sounds of the Klipsch Heresy IV, Turnbull eagerly agreed to the partnership. At a launch event in NYC, Turnbull mentioned that if he had approached Klipsch, it would have been unlikely, but the collaboration happened in the reverse direction.

The result of their collaboration is the k0-R1 two-way loudspeaker, which is part of the Klipsch Heritage Series. This speaker, measuring 15.5” x 24.81” x 13.25”, is the smallest offering in the series and is recommended by Turnbull as a great starting point for those new to high-efficiency speakers. Made of Baltic birch plywood with butt joints, the speaker sits on a KS-12 stand and features an adjustable sandcast aluminum horn created using a 3D printer. By eliminating the tweeter and opting for a two-way design, Turnbull aimed to simplify the audio process, stating that simplification is often beneficial in audio.

Limited to just 100 pieces, each speaker is hand-built and comes in gray lacquer and red oak veneer. Priced at $8,498 USD per pair, these exclusive speakers can only be purchased at Ojas while supplies last.

This collaboration between Ojas and Klipsch represents a unique opportunity for audio enthusiasts to experience a high-quality, limited edition speaker that combines the expertise of both brands. The attention to detail in the design and construction of the k0-R1 speaker sets it apart as a premium offering in the world of audio equipment. With only 100 pieces available, those interested in acquiring this special speaker should act quickly before supplies run out.
