PS Plus Extra subscribers who received Remnant 2 as part of their subscription in July are in for a treat as a major free content update is coming soon. The update will introduce a brand new mode called Boss Rush, where players can choose to play solo or multiplayer and face off against multiple bosses in various difficulty levels. This mode will test players’ skills as they fight through hordes of enemies to reach powerful bosses, earning new drops and bonuses along the way.
To access the Boss Rush mode, players can head to the World Stone in Ward 13 and select the mode along with their preferred difficulty level. The update will also introduce Prisms, a new feature to the rebalanced fragment system, allowing players to level up and gain additional stat bonuses. In addition to these new features, the update will include major quality of life improvements for an enhanced gaming experience.
Alongside the free content update, Remnant 2 will also release its third and final DLC pack, The Dark Horizon, on September 24, 2024. This premium DLC will offer a new storyline, dungeons, area, glider traversal system, archetype, bosses, and more. PS Plus Extra subscribers will need to purchase the DLC to access this new premium content, priced at $9.99.
In addition to the upcoming update for Remnant 2, Sony recently announced the September 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium games lineup. Subscribers can look forward to popular titles like Night in the Woods and Far Cry 5, among others. Notably, The Plucky Squire will be available for PS Plus Extra subscribers on launch day, September 17, 2024.
