Two men were fatally stabbed in the Bronx early on Sunday morning, according to police reports. The incident took place around 4:51 a.m. in front of a shopping plaza located at 1215 Stratford Ave. in Soundview.
Upon responding to a 911 call, officers from the 43rd Precinct discovered a 27-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest and a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen. Both victims were quickly transported to Jacobi Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of their families.
At this time, law enforcement officials have not determined a motive for the attack nor do they have a description of the suspect(s) involved. It is unclear whether the two victims had any prior connection to each other. As the investigation continues, no arrests have been made.
