US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Boston recently made headlines with the arrest of three illegal immigrants in Massachusetts who are facing charges related to child rape. The first suspect, Mynor Stiven De Paz-Munoz, a 21-year-old from Guatemala, was arrested for the forcible rape of a child. Despite a detainer request from ICE, he was released by authorities in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, after entering the US illegally in 2020. De Paz-Munoz was later arrested for multiple charges related to child rape and assault.
The second suspect, Billy Erney Buitrago-Bustos, a 42-year-old from Colombia, was arrested for similar charges after failing to leave the US under the terms of his visa. He was held without bail and later released into the custody of ICE Boston.
The third suspect, Alexandre Romao De Oliveira, a 41-year-old convicted child rapist from Brazil, fled his home country and entered the US illegally in 2022. He was arrested in Methuen, Massachusetts, by ICE Boston after evading justice in Brazil.
These arrests highlight the ongoing issue of illegal immigration and the challenges faced by law enforcement in ensuring public safety. The collaboration between ICE Boston, local authorities, and international partners is crucial in bringing individuals like De Paz-Munoz, Buitrago-Bustos, and Romao De Oliveira to justice and protecting communities from such serious crimes.
