So, there’s this lady, right? Wanda Barzee, who got in trouble for kidnapping Elizabeth Smart way back in the day, just got herself into some more hot water. Apparently, she violated her probation for being a sex offender. Like, seriously?

The 79-year-old was caught sneaking into parks in Salt Lake City, Utah, even though she wasn’t supposed to be there because of her status as a sex offender. She was supposed to be calling the authorities every week, going to court hearings, and, you know, not committing any crimes. But I guess sitting on benches and feeding ducks was just too tempting for her.

Barzee and her husband, Brian David Mitchell, snatched 14-year-old Smart from her bedroom back in 2002. They took her on a horrifying journey of rape and captivity for months before she was finally rescued by a kind stranger. Mitchell is serving a life sentence for his crimes, but Barzee only got 15 years. And get this – she was let out five years early because of a mistake in calculating her release date. Whoops!

After her release, Barzee decided to move near an elementary school, which didn’t sit well with Smart. I mean, can you blame her? Imagine having your kidnapper living near a school where innocent kids play. Not cool, man.

Smart, who’s now a mom in her 30s, was not happy about Barzee’s early release. She felt like this lady saw her as a slave and even called her a handmaiden. Talk about creepy, right? Smart demanded that Barzee be put in a mental health facility instead of being out and about in the neighborhood.

In her statement, Smart emphasized the importance of keeping people with a history of child abuse or violence away from places where they could harm kids. I mean, it’s common sense, right? Why take the risk?

So, there you have it. Barzee messed up big time by breaking her probation rules, and now she’s back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Let’s hope this time she learns her lesson and stays out of trouble. But hey, who knows with people like that, right?
