Well, folks, it looks like the New York Knicks are back on the map! After a 25-year hiatus, they’ve finally made it to the Eastern Conference Final with a massive 119-81 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 at Madison Square Garden. The game was a blowout from start to finish, with the Knicks leading by as much as 41 points in the third quarter. They really left no doubt as to who the better team was on the court that night.

From the get-go, the Knicks were in control. The Celtics couldn’t find their shot, shooting a measly 36% from the field and 29.3% from three-point range. Meanwhile, the Knicks were on fire, shooting 46.2% from the field and 34.8% from beyond the arc. The big men in blue and orange dominated the paint, out-rebounding the Celtics 55-36 and grabbing 15 offensive rebounds to Boston’s nine. It was truly a team effort that led the Knicks to victory.

The star of the show was OG Anunoby, who put up 23 points and nine rebounds while making his presence felt on the defensive end as well. Karl-Anthony Towns also had a standout game, scoring 21 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for a double-double. Josh Hart may not have scored 30 points, but he still managed a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. And let’s not forget Jalen Brunson, who chipped in 23 points, six rebounds, and two assists. The Knicks really showed their depth and versatility in this game, with six players reaching double figures in scoring.

The road to the Finals won’t be easy for the Knicks, but they’ve already overcome some major obstacles this season. After being swept by the Celtics in the regular season, they fought back from two 20-point deficits in Games 1 and 2 of the playoffs and erased a double-digit deficit in Game 4. And now, with a 38-point win in Game 6, they’ve punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Final. The last time the Knicks made it to the NBA Finals was 26 years ago, and if they can pull off a championship win, they’ll end a 52-year drought. It won’t be easy, but with the kind of performance they put on against the Celtics, anything is possible for this team.
