Police arrested a man who was spotted allegedly catching pigeons with a net inside Tompkins Square Park on the morning of April 30. According to police sources, officers from the 9th Precinct received a report of a man using a large black net to catch pigeons at around 6:55 a.m. off the corner of Avenue A and East 8th Street. When they arrived, police reported, they spotted 67-year-old Dwayne Daley of Bushkill, PA, with a net arguing with another park goer. Officers immediately took him into custody on what happened to be the suspect’s birthday.
