Sheneece Crumbie and Jordan Tomlinson of Brooklyn had double the reason to celebrate as they became parents to twin girls just after midnight on New Year’s Day at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The first baby arrived at 12:01 a.m., weighing 6 pounds, 13.9 ounces, followed by her sister at 12:02 a.m., weighing 5 pounds, 15.4 ounces. These precious newborns, the couple’s third and fourth children, are yet to be named and are reported to be in good health alongside their mother.

First Baby Boy at NYU Langone Health

Over at NYU Langone Tisch Hospital in Manhattan, Naomi and Jacob Gottesman from the Rockaways in Queens welcomed their baby boy at 12:14 a.m. on January 1st. Weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces, this healthy arrival was originally due on December 24, 2024, but decided to make a grand entrance into the new year instead.

Milestone Birth at Maimonides Medical Center

In Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Marie Aserat and Mark Carrasquillo greeted their daughter, Malia Carrasquillo, who arrived at 3:54 a.m. on January 1st at Maimonides Medical Center. Little Malia weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 21 inches long, making her the hospital’s first newborn of the year.
