As the Global Ambassador for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that supports bereaved military children, he is hosting a Christmas call on December 10th. The organization shared that the Duke of Sussex wants to connect with as many members as possible to wish them a Merry Christmas and show his support during what can be a difficult time for them.
This upcoming call is a chance for the participants to get to know Prince Harry better and experience Christmas from a royal perspective. He will be answering pre-submitted questions and also engaging directly with five attendees. Prince Harry has been working with Scotty’s Little Soldiers since 2017 and has been dedicated to supporting the children involved.
In a heartfelt letter he wrote earlier this month in honor of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, Prince Harry expressed his empathy for those who have lost a parent at a young age, drawing from his own experience of losing his mother, Princess Diana, when he was just 12 years old. He emphasized the importance of finding strength in love and memories and highlighted the comfort and healing that communities like Scotty’s Little Soldiers can provide.
While Prince Harry has been carrying out solo engagements, Meghan Markle has also been making public appearances independently. Recently, she was seen dancing with friends at a haircare line launch in Los Angeles and walking the red carpet at a gala event on her own. Additionally, she attended the Children’s Hospital LA Gala and an event for the #HalfTheStory Project solo in October.
Despite their individual engagements, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came together to deliver a video message for the Global Ministerial Conference on Violence Against Children in Colombia. The couple, who have been married since 2018, share two children, son Archie and daughter Lilibet.
