A man is fortunate to be alive after a terrifying ordeal in Clinton Hill on Saturday afternoon. Officers from the 88th Precinct responded to a 911 call just before 2 p.m. reporting a shooting near Lafayette and Classon avenues. Upon arrival, they discovered a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the face inside an apartment. The victim was promptly taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspect responsible for the shooting managed to evade arrest by barricading himself in a different apartment at the same location, according to the NYPD.
